Who says tuxedos are just for the boys? A suit is one of my favorite things to wear and this vest + culottes look is a playful nod to the more formal tuxedo. The vest is perfect for summer – wear alone as I have here or over a shirt for a more covered/conservative (and warmer) option, and the culottes are dressy yet just casual all at once. This look could easily be paired with flats for running errands, and is perfect to pack for your next city escape. *A warm city escape that is.*
The only downside to this outfit is that I ordered it months ago in the dead of winter in NYC. It pained me to be so excited to wear it only to remember that I was basically in a tundra. I was so eager that I managed to pair the culottes with a pink sweater and super warm wool coat on our warm-ish Easter Sunday.
