Lincoln was not only the tallest President of the United States, but arguably one of the most fashionable. A simple google search yields oodles of photos of him in a white button down, bowtie, waistcoat and jacket. This dress was typical of a well to do man of his time, so that’s not really too fascinating. What I do find fascinating that this exact same suit + waistcoat + bowtie would be fashionable today. Even his scruff & disheveled hair are on trend. His top hat? Maybe not so much, but it is one of the most recognizable pieces of presidential clothing, ever.
